Why wouldn’t your pet be present on your wedding day? They are as much a part of the family as your Best man or Bridesmaids so why not have them be part of your celebrations?

Together Furever Weddings VanYou may have already considered it but logistically how could it work, you’re going to be too busy to look after them and all of the people you would trust to look after them are actually with you so you resign yourself to celebrate the day without them, however this also could cause extra stress and anxiety as Kennels or boarders may not be an option and you would spend your day worrying about them, taking your mind off of the best day of your lives.

At Together Furever Weddings we hope to eliminate all of that worry and stress and make your day even more pawfect meaning you can relax and enjoy every part of your Furry Tail Wedding celebrations.

We offer a highly individual, personalised wedding Dog Chaperone service so your family pet can be included in every celebration and let us look after them like they were part of our family.

About Us

HelenHi, Im Helen and alongside my Husband Lee we are your pet chaperones. We have a lifelong passion for all animals and have been lucky enough to have been loved by such a variety, from horses to birds from fish to ferrets and dogs from tea cup Yorkshire Terriers to Marley our beautiful Great Dane.

At present we are guardians of our Cockapoo Oscar and our  smooth haired Cockapoo Ziggy.

In 2019 we were getting married and we started to worry about who would be able to look after our boy Oscar (we didn’t have Ziggy at this time). Oscar is a huge part of our family and  comes everyone with us, we were worried as all of our friends and family would be with us on the day and we wanted him to be a pivotal part of our special celebration. Unfortunately for us our venue wouldn’t allow dogs (we pleaded with them we were desperate and were thinking how we could even smuggle him in) but obviously realistically this wasn’t possible and we were devastated. He was looked after by a local boarder but we missed having him with us and when I look back at our photographs it always feels like someone is missing.

HelenIt got me thinking how many other couples are going through this dilemma and feeling heartbroken if they cant have their furry best friend with them on their special day. So I created Together Furever weddings to be able to help your perfect day become even more Pawfect….

What is a Dog Chaperone?

  • Our professional and friendly Dog Chaperone service allows you to include your furry best friend into your celebrations.

  • You can choose how you would like your pet involved, Best Dog or Dog of Honour, Ring Bearer, Flower Girl, or to welcome your guests. Together we can also discuss any attire you would like them to wear.

  • We provide dog handling and assistance throughout your requested booking including exercising, feeding, hydrating and toileting incl lots of playtime and walks.

  • We offer a variety of pricing options to fit any budget or event. This can include proposals, photo shots, rehearsals, vow renewals and weddings.

  • We can personalise your event and offer a no obligation consultation where we get to know your pet, you and your story. We will also discuss the best way for your pet to feature in your big day.

  • If you wish we can escort your pet down the aisle and work with the photographer to capture those pawfect family memories.

  • To further enhance the experience we offer several upgrades to our packages incl a chauffeur service with paw printed car ribbons and bows to transport your pet to and from the venue.

  • For tailored exclusive experience we can create a customised package to enable us to combine other services incl pet sitting and overnight stays.

Although Dogs are top of the guest list at Together Furever Weddings we can cater for all of your beloved pets.

What’s Included?

No Obligation Consultation

  • A free initial consultation, this can be a phone call or a zoom/facetime/whatsapp call to discuss your requirements.

  • This will last around 30 mins and will be a great opportunity to get to know each other. We can go through any worries or concerns you may have, it may be you want to surprise your guests so we can make a surprise entrance or have them bring the rings down the aisle, this will be the time to create a plan for the day.

  • Once we have discussed all of the details I will email a quote to you and if you decide to go ahead a deposit will be taken to secure the date.

Pre Wedding Care

  • Unlimited phone contact to talk through any worries or concerns

  • A getting to know you walk prior to the big day (if within 40 miles of my home address) and additional walks prior to the day can also be arranged with an additional fee.

  • Collect your pet from an agreed location before the wedding/event

  • A walk before the event to burn off any energy

  • We will make sure they look and smell lovely and be ‘photo ready’

  • If appropriate and requested we will dress them in the attire you have chosen.

  • Chaperone your pet to the venue, (we can also offer our chauffeur driven VW T5 Camper with paw print bows and ribbons) and we will also send over some ‘behind the scenes pupdates’

Chaperone Duties

  • I will be with your pet as discussed at our meeting for around 2 – 4  hours at the venue (depending on package chosen). I am very flexible and adaptable which is important if on the day your pet is over excited or anxious and not able to continue with the chosen role.

  • They could be a meeter and greeter for your guests, you could have one of the Bridesmaids or Groomsmen walk them down the aisle and then hand them to me ‘in the wings’

  • I will keep them occupied until the photographer is ready and provide them help in getting the best shots

Post Wedding Care

  • Chaperone your pet to an agreed location

  • We also offer a pet sitting service until later that evening or next day in your home or at the venue.

  • Your pet will receive a wedding ‘favour’ from me for being a good boy or girl.

Please note at this time we don’t offer boarding in our own home.

  • Initial consultation with you to include introduction to your pet.

  • One get to know you walk prior to the big day if within 40 miles of my home address

  • Collect pet and safely transport to wedding ceremony venue or meet them at the venue.

  • Enjoy a short walk before ceremony to expel some of that excitable energy

  • Tidy up/Brush/deodorise so they are looking and smelling their best

  • Dress your pet in your chosen attire (if needed)

  • Arrive at ceremony 60 mins before service begins

  • Chaperone duties during the event i.e pet greeting guests on arrival, walking down the aisle, ring bearer etc

  • Assist wedding photographer at same venue to get best photos

  • Supervise and attend to all comfort needs of your pet

  • Safely transport back to your home or chosen destination, or stay at the venue with them.

  • Pet sitting at your family home, wedding venue or chosen location during your reception up until 10pm that evening

  • Tidy up/Brush/deodorise so they are looking and smelling their best

  • Dress your pet in your chosen attire (if needed)

  • Arrive at ceremony up to 3 Hours before the service begins

  • Chaperone duties during the event i.e pet greeting guests on arrival, walking down the aisle, ring bearer etc

  • Assist wedding photographer at same venue to get best photos

  • Supervise and attend to all comfort needs of your pet

  • Safely transport back to your home or chosen destination

  • Pet sitting at your family home, wedding venue, or chosen location up until 10am the following morning

FAQs

Can we have our Dog with us all day (incl ceremony and reception)?2022-05-10T11:14:10+01:00

Your pets are our top priority, their health and welfare is the most important concern. The excitement, noise, different smells can cause some pets to feel overwhelmed and increase their stress and anxiety levels if exposed to long hours of heightened excitement. Therefore we recommend no longer than 2 hours. This will give them plenty of time to be involved with your guests, the ceremony and all of the photographs.

Where are you based and how far do you cover?2022-05-10T11:13:50+01:00

We are based in Weston super Mare BS22 and can cover up to 40 miles incl within our packages. We can cover outside of that but would charge 0.45p a mile on top of package price.

No, we are very flexible. Every wedding and every pet are different and individual. We offer a no obligation initial meeting where we can discuss all of your requirements and design a pawfect package just for you.

How many Dogs/Pets can we have?2022-05-10T11:13:10+01:00

It will depend on the venue and your ideas, if an extra handler is needed this will incur an extra fee.

What happens after the ceremony and photographs?2022-05-10T11:12:49+01:00

Again we will discuss and plan this in our meetings, we have several options. We can deliver your pet to your chosen drop off, family friend, boarder. We can deliver them to your home and stay with them for a couple of hours to ensure they are settled, fed and relaxed. If you have chosen we can extend the stay to 10pm in your own home, venues of friend’s house. Or finally we can stay in your chosen location overnight until the following day at 10am.

What happens if there was an emergency?2022-05-10T11:12:23+01:00

We will take all relevant emergency contacts with us. This could be a close friend or family member. We also collect the details of your own vet and the closet vet to the ceremony. We also take a thorough assessment of your pet incl their likes and dislikes, any medication, allergies, triggers to behaviours etc

Do you offer Grooming?2022-05-10T11:11:56+01:00

No we don’t, however we recommend you have your pet washed or groomed at least the day before. We will brush and deodorise them on the day, we will also ensure any muddy paws are wiped clean.

Helen and her colleague looked after 4 dogs for us at our daughter’s wedding last weekend. The temperature was 30 degrees. They looked after our 2 boys who are Oscar an 8 year old nervous cockapoo and Arthur our very active 9 month old Lab puppy. It was Arthurs first time away from home and the first time he’d been left without us. They also looked after our sons Lab Ruby and the Grooms Dads dog Jet. The preparation before was impressive with two meetings and lots of information gathered. They allowed us to enjoy the day and the dogs were wonderfully looked after given they had 4 dogs in 30 degree heat for 12 hours. I cant praise them or recommend them highly enough.

Helen took care of our dog Dave at our wedding at Burgh Island last week. Dave is a young Labrador and is both energetic and shy around new people. I can’t put into words how amazing Helen was on my wedding day looking after our dogs. I really wanted them included on our day without the stress of worrying about them being looked after by guests and Helen’s was exactly what I was looking for. When my fiancé joked about our dog being our ring-bearer on the night that we got engaged, I thought it was the best idea but I had no idea how to make it a reality – & then along came Helen. From the second I met her, I just trusted her. I could see the love and compassion that she had for dogs as well as her job. She took the time to really understand what we were hoping from the day & then multiplied what I had hoped for by 1000. She came to the house before the day to meet our dog (& my parent’s dog who she was staying with but not bringing to the wedding), she got to know them and bonded with them with such ease, and we knew that they would be in the safest hands throughout the weekend. She timed everything on the day perfectly, and we ended up with the most incredible videos of our dog running down the aisle which I think will always bring a tear to my eyes because it was just perfect. However, what I didn’t expect was her to also be able to get our dogs attention and somehow make the most lively, jumpy spaniel known to man actually pose perfectly for pictures after the wedding. She was flawless in every single way during the wedding itself – but beyond that, simply knowing she was at the house with the dogs meant that we (who usually worry about our dog every 2-3 minutes) quite literally forgot all about her because we knew she was having the best time with her new best friend Helen! Our day would not have been the same without her & we cannot thank her enough. I will forever recommend her to every single person I know, because no wedding is complete without your furry best friend (& your soon-to-be human friend Helen too!)

Being able to include our dog in such a special moment just meant the world to us, & with Helen we also got so much more – we trusted her completely and she helped to make our wedding simply perfect!

We used Helen for our wedding and I can’t put into words how amazing she was! Our pooch was looked after perfectly and was exactly where he had to be at the exact time he had to be there and was relaxed and happy with Helen.

She came and met our dog the week before the wedding to get used to him and stayed in contact throughout the whole process. Important Considerations

  • Make sure when looking at your venues that they are pet friendly

  • If its not a secret make sure your guests are aware there will be a Dog present in case you have anyone with an allergy or a fear of Dogs. It’s a good idea to let your chaperone know who this is at the wedding so they can stay away from them

  • Ensure your pet has the right temperament for the role you have chosen.

  • Rehearse with them; dress them in the attire you’ve chosen so they get used to it.

  • If you are choosing real flowers as a collar please make sure these are pet friendly as some plants and foliage are poisonous.

  • Their health and welfare will always be our main priority.

Terms & Conditions

‍Quotation available for 14 days only

Health – we have completed dog first aid training however if your dog requires urgent medical attention, we will seek advice from our local Vet and their fees will fall to you to pay for and is not included in our quotation fee.  We will endeavour to contact you first, but if we cannot, then we must make that decision at that time in the best interests of your dog.‍

Flea/vaccinations – we hope all dogs are free from fleas and are up to date with their vaccinations.‍

A small deposit is taken to secure the date with the remaining payable 1 month before your wedding date – we send you an invoice with bank payment details.

We send you out our contract for you to read, approve, sign and return*

*you have legal right to cancel our service up to 14 calendar days after the day on which we have received your signed contract agreement .

Once you have paid and signed/returned the contract, then your date is secure in our Diary.

Our service commences by us coming to your home or at an agreed location to meet you and your pet in person.   As part of our service, we have a ‘get to know you’ meeting leading up to your big day to meet you and your dog/s in person.

If you require additional face to face ‘get to know you’ sessions or walks with your dog/s this can be organised at an additional charge.

We keep in contact with you before the wedding, and text during our chaperoning service to let you know your dog/s are all okay for your peace of mind; is all part of our service.

Because we are dog owners, we know dogs are part of the family which is how this service was born.    We therefore want to provide the best possible care whilst chaperoning your dog, we will plan the day with you in line with your dog’s personality/needs so that your day you can include them in a stress-free way making your day even more Pawfect.
